Two Injured in Maryland High School Shooting

Two students have been hospitalized after a shooting at Great Mills High School, MD.

The shooter, who police officials have not identified, opened fire on a male and female student in the hallway just before classes began.

A school resource officer engaged in a gun fight with the shooter and shot the suspect, however it wasn’t immediately known if the officers shot killed the suspect.

All three students were taken to the hospital where the shooter was pronounced dead.

The shooting comes after social media posts circulated of a possible shooting last month. Principal Jake Heibel told parents at the time that school officials had interviewed a pair of students who were overheard talking about a school shooting, but the investigation found no threat.
