St. Cloud, MN – LEAF’s Night of the Stars is happening this weekend for its 19th year. This event may peak the interest of anyone who loves performances and supporting local education programs.
LEAF is the Local Education and Activities Foundation for school district 742. This program was started back in 2002 when the school district cut the Junior High activity programs. LEAF’s main goal is to save and keep programs and activities within the Saint Cloud Education system. Night of the Stars is one of the bigger events put on by LEAF and has always been a great way for the foundation to fundraise enough money to support the district.
The event will be held at The Paramount Theater in downtown St. Cloud. Night of the Stars has been held at this venue since 2005. The event was initially held in the St. Cloud Civic Center for the three years priors.
There will be about 25 performances put on mainly by the talented, young students within the district. The acts include anything from dancing and singing to acting and ensemble acts. These acts were narrowed down from about 60 auditions held earlier in the school year.
The event is this upcoming Friday and Saturday (Feb. 21st and 22nd) at 7pm. Tickets are $16 for adults and $6 for students. If you bring your SCSU student ID you can get in for student price.
Tickets are on sale now at the Paramounts website: https://paramountarts.org/event/leaf-night-of-the-stars/
