In a season that saw the Huskies Men’s Hockey team earn their way to the NCAA national championship game last week some members of the squad have already committed their return for next season.
In an interview with KFAN in Minneapolis, Head Coach Brett Larson announced that forwards Easton Brodzinski and Kevin Fitzgerald will make another run with the Huskies in 2021-22. Defensemen Seamus Donahue will also return on the blue line for the cardinal and black who was paired with Nick Perbix throughout the season.
Just a few days ago it also reported that Luke Jaycox would return for a fifth season and that Sam Hentges after talks with the Minnesota Wild would return for his fourth season. Nick Perbix is also returning for his senior season after talks with the Tampa Bay Lightning who own his draft rights.
Goaltender David Hrenak is still deciding his future, he is a draft pick of the Los Angeles Kings organization.
Some Huskies however have decided to hang up the skates.
Defenseman Tyler Anderson will graduate and will be enrolling in medical school in the fall. Will Hammer has accepted and internship and will not return in October. Jared Cockrell has signed a contract with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL turning pro this offseason.
