People looking to get a jump on lines at the polls across the northland have started sending in their absentee ballots.

According to the Minnesota Secretary of State’s office, 43,928 absentee ballots were sent out to those who requested starting on January 7th.

As of one month later on Friday February 7th, just above 17,000 ballots have been turned in and accepted for processing.

If you are still looking to register to vote that is okay.
