A new report says an April survey of business supply managers hints there will be economic growth in the Midwest and Plains states.
The Mid-American Business Conditions Index dropped to 55.9 last month form 58.2 in March. The survey indexes range from zero to 100. Any score over 50 suggests growth. A score below that suggests decline.
The survey covers Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and South Dakota.
