Heavy Rain cause Closed Roads

Heavy rains yesterday have caused mudslides in southeastern Minnesota forcing officials to shut down southbound lanes of state highway 169 in a 12-mile stretch between St. Peter and Mankato.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation say the rain left standing water on the highway and ditches full.

The Department is monitoring the northbound lanes in the 12-mile stretch to see if they should be closed.
