Minnesota Voter Turnout

Young voters in Minnesota showed up to the polls in last falls mid-term elections.

The state is reporting that 40% of eligible voters between ages 18 and 29 participated in the elections compared to the 21% in the 2014 mid-terms.

Older voters still are showing up in larger numbers to the polls than younger voters.

A professor from St Olaf College credits candidates Barack Obama in 2008 and Bernie Sanders  in 2016 with connecting with young voters.
