Wisconsin Explosion


SUPERIOR, Wis. (AP) – An explosion at the Husky Energy oil refinery occurred in Superior at about 10 a.m. on Thursday leaving several people injured.

Authorities say that six people were taken to hospitals in Duluth but there are no known fatalities. The explosion took place around 10 a.m. and firefighters got the fire out around 11:20 a.m.

Superior police are urging people to stay as far away from the oil refinery as they can and that the roads surrounding the area have been blocked off as well.
