The search for St. Cloud State University’s new president has been narrowed to the final four. Brian Johnson, Daniel Shipp, Dione Somerville, and Robbyn Wacker are the current candidates. The candidates will be visiting campus between April 24 to 27 to meet the community.
Brian Johnson has worked for several universities over the last decade including acting as the president of Tuskegee University. He also served in several roles at Austin Peay State University. He will be visiting St. Cloud State University on April 25.
Daniel Shipp has been the dean of students for the University of Nebraska Medical Center and worked at the University of Nebraska Omaha since 2012. He has also worked for the University of the Pacific. He will be visiting St. Cloud State University on April 27.
Dione Somerville was the vice president of student affairs at Bloomsburg University since 2011. She has also been the dean of students for Iowa State University for four years. She will be visiting St. Cloud State University on April 24.
Robbyn Wacker has been in senior administrative positions for the University of Northern Colorado for two decades. She also is a tenured professor who was the dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences for almost a decade. She will be visiting St. Cloud State University on April 26.
The university’s next president will be chosen in a meeting on May 16th. The chosen candidate will take it over in July 2018.
