Cold Twins Home Opener

by

After days of shoveling, target field is finally ready for opening day. It took more than 70 employees and shovels to clear the field for this afternoon’s game. Employees had to turn to hot water to melt the snow and ice from the stands and concourse. Fans attending the game are urged to dress warm as the game is expected to be cold and possibly a sprinkle of snow during game-time. The Twins Home Opening record temperature of 34 degrees, which was set back in 1962, will have some competition today.
