PHILADELPHIA FANS’ CELEBRATION TURNS FIERCE

With the excitement of Super Bowl 52 going through everyone’s veins, it seemed to carry through a little bit too much for some of the Philadelphia Eagles fans back at home. After the the Eagles defeated the Patriots, some of the Philadelphia took celebrating the Super Bowl win to a whole next level.

Of the activity that happened included from the excessive celebration included jumping off of light posts. Additionally, these fans also were in the streets flipping over cars, climbing light posts, and jumping off of roofs. However, the celebrating continued on to stealing from gas stations and breaking the windows of small businesses.

The mayor of Philadelphia’s spokesperson Ajeenah Amir said, local authorities made three arrests and wanted to thank their police department for making sure that everyone is safe. During these acts of violence, several people were injured. On the flip side of the celebrating, there were also many fans who were expressing their happiness appropriately by spending their time in stores stocking up on news Eagles apparel.

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots by a final score of 41-33 at Minnesota’s 2-year-old U.S. Bank Stadium. This was the Eagles’ first Super Bowl win in franchise history, but the team last won an NFL championship in 1960, just seven years before the NFL’s first Super bowl game. Next year’s Super Bowl will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
