Avoiding Holiday Fires


When it comes to the holidays, many can forget about how serious problems can come from ignorance. The holiday season can be a common time for fires to occur. Many of the reports are of kitchen fires and those who leaving their holiday meals unattended to entertain friends and family.

Another common form of fire is electrical. Often time wires that are frayed can lead to electrical issues. Also over using outlets can cause fires in homes and outside of houses. Many who hang Christmas lights need to use caution and make sure they are are over using the outlets.

Lastly use caution when it comes to lights around the tree. Despite popular belief, fake Christmas trees cause more fires during the holiday season than real ones do. But all of this can be avoided if caution is used and common safety is practiced.
