It’s not truly Christmas time until you hear the ringing of the Salvation Army bells at your local businesses. A tradition that’s been around for over 120 years.
St. Cloud Kettle Coordinator Laura Douvier explains how this collection of donation is what funds the program, the staff, and the ability to house the homeless. The salvation army helps people with their basic needs, housing, counseling, and so much more.
Happy Brewer used to live at the Salvation army and described his time as “inspirational” and “life saving.” When speaking about his time there he says, “I utilized it the way I was supposed to. I got in, I got my resources, and I moved on. Happy is one of millions to get help from the Salvation Army.
