Authorities say a family dog helped searchers find a 2-year-old who was lost in a cornfield on a chilly night. The toddler was playing with his siblings outside of their home when the toddler wandered off. Fortunately, the family dog was close behind. Once the search began, officials say they were able to hear the dog barking. With the barking as a guide, State Patrol troopers in a helicopter were able to use a heat-seeking device to detect the heat from the dog and boy and locate the child. The dog hadn’t left the boy’s side.
