Authorities Searching For Kidnapping Suspect


RICE, Minn. – Authorities are actively searching for the man suspected of kidnapping and possibly sexually assaulting a teenage boy, according to the Rice Police Department.

Around 10:30 p.m. Monday, officers made contact with an 18-year-old man who told them he had been kidnapped, physically assaulted, and possibly sexually assaulted. The man told officers he was walking along a road when a stranger in a dark blue van offered him a ride. He entered the vehicle and shortly after was rendered unconscious, eventually waking up on the side of the road.

According to authorities, the victim complained of several injuries consistent to being sexually assaulted.

The victim described the suspect as a white male around 50-years-old with a gray mustache, and possibly speaking with a Southern accent.


The suspect’s vehicle was described as a 2000s model van that is either dark blue or purple.
