The number of Minnesota children being abused has grown in the past year. Around 16,000 children were under investigation for abuse, which is a 43% increase from last year. Governor Mark Dayton proposed investments to strengthen safety and stability for children. The State Government and local community organizations have resources to help families with economic supports, nutritional assistance, parenting classes, and mental health treatment.
