Sportsmen’s Show Offers Variety of Exhibits

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Hunters and outdoorsmen are crowding into the River’s Edge Convention Center for the annual St. Cloud Sportsmen’s Show.

Continuing into the weekend, the convention has everything that an outdoorsman needs. From fishing poles to hunting gear, the show offers people of all ages the opportunity to see what local vendors have to offer. Accompanying the new wares is a line-up of seminars and speakers that offer guests the opportunity to learn more about different aspects of hunting.

Speakers include fishing expert Korey Sprengel, and hunting expert Todd Amenrud. Following these seminars is the must-see Great Wolf Show. With real gray wolves, a cougar, and a red fox, visitors of all ages will enjoy learning more about the wildlife of Minnesota.

Wolf caretaker, Terri Petter says her favorite part about being in the show is getting to teach people about the different misconceptions surrounding wolves.

“A lot of people think that wolves are big, fluffy dogs, but they’re wild animals,” Petter said.

She says she enjoys being at the Sportsmen’s Show because a variety of people from different ages come and watch, and they’re all genuinely curious about the wolves.

Along with the animals, people will have the opportunity to browse the different vendors which includes boat exhibits, travel shows, and a camping show. Each one displays the latest in camping and travel equipment.

The show will go on through tomorrow. Tickets are for sale at the front door for $6.50 for adults, and $2.50 for kids, and will allow entry into all of the exhibits.
