ST CLOUD, MN – Clark Field was the site of a thrilling Central Lakes Conference match up between the 2-2 Brainerd Warriors and the 4-0 St. CLoud Tech Tigers. The
scoring started off slow, the first points weren’t put up till half way through the first quarter when Brainerd Sr. Quarterback Mitch Mclain punched one in up the middle for 6.
The Tigers responded with a fourty-two yard run by Jr. running back Jacob Peterson. The Tigers used their passing game as well. Tech Jr. Quarterback Jesse LaVoi hit his
favorte target fellow senior Kevin Heysse numerous times. The Tigers were also haunted by turnovers and the Warriors had 13 unanswered points off the turnovers.
Peterson found the endzone twice for the Tigers but it wasn’t enough to stop the Warriors as Tech falls for the first time this season by a final score of 28-13. With the win
Brainerd improves to 3-2 on the season and 3-1 in the CLC. Tech falls to 4-1 on the season and is now tied for first place in the conference with Brainerd at a 3-1
record.
