Referee Punched

A youth basketball coach from Michigan accused of punching a Kentucky referee, knocking him unconscious, has been charged with assault. According to Kentucky authorities 40-year-old Keyon Menifield on Flint, Michigan punched 61-year-old Kenny Culp after a disagreement. Culp was treated for a broken collarbone, a crack in his sinus cavity, and a concussion says his niece. The investigation is ongoing.

Illinois House Fire

Authorities from Illinois say five people have died in a mobile home fire over the weekend. 1-year-old Ariel Wall, 2-year-old Rose Alwood and Damien Wall, 34-year-old Jason Wall and 69-year-old Kathryn Murray were identified by the Woodford County coroner as the victims of the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by state and local authorities.
