Cooper Ave Shutdown

A section of Cooper Avenue South is being shut down tomorrow due to an emergency gas line repair. The shutdown will be from Linda Lane to 17th Street South. The road will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction. Crews are expecting the repair operation to last approximately one day.

Transportation Budget

Governor Tim Walz’s transportation budget proposal has been expanded by the Democratic’s who control The House. The transportation budget unveiled by the Democratic’s includes a 20-cent gas tax increase which was also included in the Governors proposal. The senate transportation committee has already voted down his package of transportation tax increases.
