Pheasant Opener

With numbers down, the Minnesota DNR  says pheasant hunting may be difficult this season. According to the DNR, pheasant numbers aren’t only down since last-year, the numbers are 32% below the ten-year average and 62% below the long-term average. Wildlife managers suspect the decline of farmland as a habitat is to blame.

Two suspects are in custody after leading police in a high speed chase Wednesday night. According to the Waite- Park police department, 23 year-old Tyree Denton Beecham of Brooklyn Center started the chase after fleeing Kohl’s in Waite Park with stolen products. Enbridge Energy

The controversial line three pipeline across northern Minnesota is still being heavily debated. The project is facing stiff opposition from environmental and tribal groups who aren’t the only ones who say the pipeline is unnecessary.
